Bomb Squad Called To Investigate Suspicious Pipes In SW OKC

Police called in the bomb squad for help investigating some suspicious pipes that were discovered in southwest Oklahoma City, Wednesday afternoon.

Officers were called to the area near SW 89^th St. and S. Santa Fe Ave. around 2 p.m.

Police shut down Santa Fe. Ave. from SW 89th St. to SW 83rd St. while authorities investigated. The "all clear" was given around 3 p.m. 

So far police have not said where and how exactly the pipes were found or to whom they belonged. In the end they were deemed harmless.
