Drowning Reported Near Harrah

The body of a teenager was recovered from a river near Harrah, Oklahoma City fire officials said.

A 17-year-old boy went into the water near a sand plant on the North Canadian River, Oklahoma City fire Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland said. 

The teenager was swimming with his family when he went underwater and did not resurface.

The boy's body was recovered about 4:45 p.m. Saturday. No other information has been released at this time.
