Police Identify Man Shot, Killed In NE OKC

Oklahoma City police found Clarence Dickerson, 20, shot in Access Medical Center's parking lot, 1918 NE 23 St., Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said.

The man fatally shot Thursday afternoon in northeast Oklahoma City has been identified, Oklahoma City police reported.

Oklahoma City police found Clarence Dickerson, 20, shot in Access Medical Center's parking lot, 1918 NE 23 St., Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said.

About 3:20 p.m., police were called to the area of Martin Luther King Avenue and NE 23rd St. in reference to a shooting.

Investigators at the scene told News 9 an altercation between two men happened at an Auto Zone nearby. The altercation continued across the street where the fatal shots were fired.

Dickerson was taken to a hospital where he died. Dickerson's death is Oklahoma City's 31st homicide.

The shooter is described as a black man about 18 to 20 years old last seen running in a northern direction from the scene, Wardlow said.
