As of Sunday, May 31, 2015, American Red Cross disaster workers continue to help those affected by tornadoes and flooding across Oklahoma.

Disaster workers are working in the affected communities throughout Oklahoma, meeting with those affected by the recent storms and flooding to provide emergency assistance.
FEMA opened a Disaster Recovery Center in Oklahoma County on Saturday, May 30. To apply for state and federal assistance online go to www.DisasterAssistance.gov or via smartphone or tablet by using the FEMA app or going to m.fema.gov. People may also call 800-621-3362 or (TTY) 800-462-7585 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Those who use 711-Relay or Video Relay Services can call 800-621-3362.:

By the numbers Since May 6:
Provided more than 520 overnight shelter stays.
Provided more than 33,000 meals and snacks across Oklahoma.
Handed out more than 18,700 supplies like cleanup kits, shovels, rakes, tarps, gloves, masks and trash bags.
Certified Red Cross nurses and mental health volunteers have made more than 2,700 contacts across Oklahoma.

The best way to assist those in Oklahoma is to make a financial donation to the Red Cross by visiting redcross.org, calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or texting REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
