Injuries Reported After Crash Near I-240, May In SW OKC

Emergency crews are on the scene of an injury crash on the south side of the metro Thursday.

First responders were called out to the crash on the westbound side of Interstate 240 near the May Ave. exit.

According to Oklahoma City Fire Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland, the accident call came as an injury accident and all the occupants are out of the vehicle.

Authorities are not sure if the vehicle crashed into a creek or a drainage ditch in the area, but they do say the car traveled a ways from the roadway before coming to rest. EMSA transported three people from the wreck to OU Medical Center.

Hazmat has been sent because the vehicle is leaking about five quarts of oil.
