The Oklahoma softball team is headed to the Super Regionals for the sixth straight season after shutting out Texas A&M, on Sunday afternoon, 2-0, at Marita Hynes Field.

The Sooners will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on No. 6 seed Alabama in the Super Regionals in a best-of-three series.

The Sooners and Crimson Tide will open their best-of-three series Friday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN. The teams will play game two Saturday at 4 p.m., again on ESPN. If a third game is necessary, it will be played at 7 p.m. Saturday night on ESPN2.

The matchup pits the two teams with the longest active streak of Super Regional berths. Alabama is first with 11 straight trips.

Freshman Paige Parker got the job done in the circle, dominating the A&M hitters. She gave up just three hits while striking out seven to improve her record to 27-5 on the season. One game after giving up a season-high five runs, she held Texas A&M scoreless for her ninth shutout of the season.

Parker faced a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the sixth inning, but got a strikeout for the third out that ended the threat.

Parker also had what turned out to be the game-winning hit with a run-scoring single in the first inning. She finished 2-for-4 at the plate with a pair of singles.

Senior Lauren Chamberlain, in her last at-bat in Norman for the Sooners, gave OU a bit of insurance late, driving in Whitney Ellis in the sixth inning with an RBI single.

The other seniors performed well in their last game at Marita Hynes Field, as Georgia Casey was 3-for-3 with a walk, while Shelby Pendley was 2-for-4.
