Police are on the lookout for an aggravated sex offender who fled from authorities following a high-speed pursuit in a rural area just east of Norman on Monday.

Daniel Richard Fletcher, 33, is wanted on multiple bench warrants.

According to the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office, two bench warrants were filed April 2 stemming from previous felony convictions. On the same day, a third bench warrant was filed in Canadian County District Court for failure to comply with order.

Court records show Fletcher was convicted of first-degree rape in Cleveland County in 2003.

The search for Fletcher initiated after he fled a traffic stop just before noon on Monday. A deputy stopped a 1995 white Chevrolet van for defective equipment at the 180th Avenue SE and Newberry Rd. intersection. When the deputy approached the van, the driver, later identified as Fletcher, gave a false name and date of birth.

Fletcher then started the vehicle and drove east at a high rate of speed. The deputy pursued the van.

The chase ended behind a house in the 17900 block of Newberry Rd. Fletcher and his sole passenger, Heather Dellvonn Anderson, 33, of Choctaw, fled on foot.

Deputies set up a perimeter and began searching for the suspects. A K9 deputy was deployed for tracking.

Norman police and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers aided in the search along with the Oklahoma City Police Department's helicopter.

A little more than an hour later, deputies saw Anderson exit a tree line near Blueberry Hill Way. She was arrested on complaint of obstructing an officer and booked in the Cleveland County Detention Center. She was still in custody Tuesday afternoon.

Anyone who has information about Fletcher's whereabouts should call CCSO at (405) 701-8888, Tip Line at (405) 701-8870 or Crime Stoppers at (405) 701-8872.
