OCPD Officer Involved In Deadly Crash Faces Misdemeanor Charge

A criminal misdemeanor charge was filed in Oklahoma County court against a police officer involved in a deadly crash.

 A criminal misdemeanor charge was filed in Oklahoma County court against a police officer involved in a deadly crash.

The Oklahoma City Police Department confirmed the District Attorney accepted the charge against 39-year-old Bryant Holloway, an officer with the department. According to OCPD Cpt. Paco Balderrama, the charge is "a misdemeanor for negligent homicide."

On Dec. 12, officer Holloway was involved in a crash in Northwest Oklahoma City near Pennsylvania and May Avenues in a squad car.

A 79-year-old woman, Marinan Reese, was driving the other involved vehicle. Both Holloway and Reese were taken to the hospital after the crash. 

Reese died the next day from her injuries.

Officer Holloway has been on administrative leave since the crash.
