The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake near Medford Tuesday evening.
The 3.1 magnitude quake shook the area 11 miles east, southeast of Medford and 25 miles west of Ponca City at 6:46 p.m., according to the USGS.
The USGS said the earthquake was nearly two miles deep.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
