Golden State Of Mind: Warriors Cruise Past Thunder

Kevin Durant shot 3-of-16. Russell Westbrook shot 5-of-21. It just wasn't the Thunder's night.

Golden State, currently perching atop the Western Conference standings, padded its lead with a 117-91 win over the listless Thunder.

Harrison Barnes spent most of the night taking target practice against the Thunder's nonexistent defense. Barnes knocked down all five of his 3-pointers and finished with 23 points and seven rebounds.

Barnes helped Golden State (27-5, 14-1 at home) overcome pedestrian scoring nights from the Splash Brothers. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson each finished with 19 points in the Warriors' backcourt, while Draymond Green added 11 points and 13 boards.

Durant's aforementioned 3-of-16 shooting was awful by his standards, but he's the kind of guy who can still put up a decent line on a bad night. KD finished with a double double; 14 points and 10 boards. The same can be said for Westbrook, who scored 22 points to go with seven boards and five assists.

The Thunder (17-18) shot just 29.2 percent from the floor 17.9 percent from downtown. Golden State had no such issues, shooting 46.6 percent from the field and a blistering 53.6 percent from behind the arc.

Anthony Morrow gets the proverbial game ball in this one. Morrow scored 17 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and played hard for 29 minutes.

There was some good news from Monday. Hours before tipoff, Oklahoma City completed a three-way trade with the New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavs. OKC sent Lance Thomas to the Knicks and a first-round pick to Cleveland and acquired Cavs' guard Dion Waiters.

The loss drops OKC to 2 ½ games behind the Suns for the No. 8 playoff spot. The Thunder is also a half game behind the New Orleans Pelicans. The Thunder is back at it on Wednesday night at Sacramento on Wednesday night at 9 p.m.
