Jake Layman had 21 points and 11 rebounds and No. 17 Maryland beat Oklahoma State 73-64 on Sunday to improve to 11-1.
Layman was 3 of 5 from 3-point range and the Terrapins were 10 of 25 overall from long range. Melo Trimble had 16 points, Jared Nickens added 11, and Richaud Pack had 10 rebounds.
Le'Bryan Nash led Oklahoma State (9-2) with 17 points and nine rebounds. Anthony Hickey had 16 points, and Phil Forte III added 13.
Maryland opened the second half with a 15-3 run to take a 17-point lead.
Oklahoma State cut it to 10 with 9 minutes left, but Layman hit a 3-pointer and finished a fast break with a layup to make it 56-41 with 7:50 remaining.
The Cowboys cut it to nine on Hickey's 3-pointer, but Layman came up big again, this time with a driving, dunk for a 62-51 advantage with 4:42 to play.
Hickey's 3-pointer made it 67-61 with 53 seconds left.
Oklahoma State has lost just five times in 198 nonconference home games dating to 1987.
The Cowboys are 49-3 in nonconference home games under head coach Travis Ford.
Oklahoma State ranks ninth in the country in steals at 10 per game. They had 10 on Sunday.
The Cowboys face Missouri in Kansas City on Dec. 30.
