A man was arrested in Choctaw, Oklahoma, for the possession of a stolen tractor, after a citizen alerted an Oklahoma County deputy to the crime.
According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office, at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, a deputy was flagged down by a citizen near the intersection of S.E. 71st and S. Choctaw Road. The man told the deputy that he had responded to a Craigslist advertisement regarding a John Deere backhoe loader.
The man said he believed the ad was suspicious due to the fact that the equipment was being sold at 25 percent of the actual value. While speaking with the deputy, the man pointed out the suspect and the equipment just across Interstate 40.
The deputy spoke to the suspect, 23-year-old Cason Wayne Frieburg. The VIN was located on the equipment and the tractor was confirmed as stolen.
Frieburg was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of possession of a stolen vehicle. He was released on Sunday after posting $2,000 bail.
