A white Honda Accord drove through the front doors and into the area where the cash register is. Dozens of police officers, firefighters and paramedics were on the scene to treat two people.
A woman who is pregnant was hurt. We've learned she was in good condition, but the clerk suffered some pretty serious injuries.
One witness we spoke with was out of the store and was heading back inside just seconds before the crash . He saw the clerk lying on the ground and described what he saw.
“The store clerk, I know her, I come here every day. She was lying on the floor bleeding badly. The pregnant lady she was holding her stomach. I hope she's alright,” Kevin Wade said.
“I checked around to see if anyone else was lying around and luckily everyone was out of the way. It was a bad scene,” Tom Gulan said.
Both witnesses described the driver as dazed and scared right after the crash. That driver was arrested at the scene.
