Two Shooting Suspects Arrested After Midwest City Standoff

A standoff took place in Midwest City Tuesday afternoon.

It ended around 4 p.m. on the 8800 block of Cedar View Lane, near NE 10th Street and Oakview Drive.

Police said 35-year-old Orville Branch was wanted for a shooting that happened on Saturday. He was at his mother's house when the warrant was served, but refused to come out.

Another suspect, 18-year-old Yvonne Stanford, was also in the house with Branch.

The standoff lasted a little more than an hour with negotiators and Branch's mother trying to talk them out.

Both suspects finally came out and were arrested peacefully.
