Several law enforcement agencies in Oklahoma County will team up for a 12-hour DUI crackdown operation this weekend.
According to authorities, multiple agencies, including the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Oklahoma City, Midwest City, Nicoma Park and Bethany police departments, will participate in “Operation StanDOff (State Troopers, Deputies, Officers)” beginning on Friday and ending on Saturday.
During the event, law enforcement officers will target people who are driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
Most agencies participating will have DUI patrols for the duration of the operation. In addition to the patrols, the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office will have four separate DUI checkpoints throughout Oklahoma County.
The first DUI checkpoints will start 8 p.m. on Friday.
