A convicted sex offender was arrested again for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Logan County.
According to the Logan County Sheriff's office, at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Luther police contacted the Sheriff's office after they stopped a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Cameron Williams.
Police said Williams was accompanied by a 14-year-old girl, who told officers that Williams had sexually assaulted her overnight in Logan County.
Logan County deputies then responded to Luther to investigate the allegations. The investigation is ongoing, but authorities said there was sufficient probable cause to arrest Williams for the charge of rape by instrumentation.
Williams is currently being held at the Logan County Sheriff's Office Detention Center. He will be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A bond will be set at that time.
According to the Sheriff's office, Williams is a registered sex offender from a conviction for second-degree rape in Oklahoma County on December 12, 2011. Williams has been registered with the Logan County Sheriff's Office since December 14, 2011, and supervised by the Department of Corrections Probation and Parole.
