The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake in Grant County.

According to the USGS, the 3.0 magnitude quake shook the area nine miles east, southeast of Medford and 26 miles west of Ponca City at 5:17 p.m. Tuesday.

The earthquake was more than three miles deep, according to the USGS.

There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
