Quail Springs Outage Impacts Drivers

Traffic improved Saturday evening after a power outage impacted drivers in the Quail Springs area. Power was restored to the Quail Springs Mall, and other customers in the area after 8 p.m. Saturday.

Crews on scene reported thousands of cars trying to leave the area around 5 p.m., creating major delays. The photo in this story shows traffic leaving the mall at Memorial Road and May Avenue at that time.

OG&E reported the outage in N. Oklahoma City and also an outage in Piedmont Saturday evening. 

Power was restored at the mall just before 7 p.m. Saturday. However, nearby businesses were in the dark for another hour.

OG&E crews responded to the scene shortly after the call came in Saturday evening.
