Police are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon case after one victim was injured Saturday in Norman.

Police are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon case after one victim was injured Saturday in Norman.

Norman police said officers responded to a possible shooting just after 8:30 p.m. near Ed Noble Parkway and W. Lindsey Street.

According to the news release, the victims told police they were driving near N.W. 36th Avenue and W. Main Street when they were approached by three men on foot.

Police said when the victims were stopped at the intersection, one of the suspects shot at the vehicle, hitting it several times, then all three fled on foot.

One victim suffered a minor leg injury and was treated on scene, according to police.

Suspect descriptions are not available at this time.

The shooting remains under investigation.
