Oklahoma City police arrested an 18 year old who is accused of stealing his father's car and threatening to hit him with a cane.
Monday night, the victim called police to report that his son, 18-year-old Kole Turney, had stolen his car. The victim said Turney did not have permission to use the car and was specifically told not to drive it.
The victim said he was able to locate the car in the parking lot of a gas station in the 1000 block of N. MacArthur. He said when he found the vehicle, he took the keys away from Turney. That's when Turney threatened to hit him with a cane.
Officers said when they arrived, Turney was attempting to hotwire the car. He was taken into custody.
According to police, Turney voluntarily told the officers that he had "blacked out" because of drug use, and he did not know what had happened. He also admitted that he busted the windshield of the car with a Wal-Mart shopping cart.
Turney was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
