OKC Police Announce Donation Opportunity In Honor Of Fallen K9 Officer

The Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) announced an opportunity to donate to a non-profit providing stab and bullet protective vests in honor of Kye, the K9 officer who recently died in the line of duty.

The Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) announced an opportunity to donate to a non-profit providing stab and bullet protective vests in honor of Kye, the K9 officer who recently died in the line of duty.

OCPD posted a link to an IndieGoGo account, allowing anyone to donate to Vested Interest in K9's, a non-profit raising money to help police departments across the country protect their K9 officers.

OCPD's Kye was stabbed multiple times by a man who ran from police and died the next day following emergency surgery.

In his short career Kye was responsible for 55 apprehensions, took drugs off the streets and located missing people.
