Authorities have identified a teenage boy who drowned in the Canadian River on the northeast side of the Oklahoma City metro.
The Medical Examiner's office identified the victim as 14-year-old Carlos Rodrigues II. Emergency crews responded to the incident near 12400 N. Hiwassee, just after 5 p.m. Sunday.

According to authorities, Rodrigues was swimming in the North Canadian River when he went under and did not resurface. Dive team recovered his body at 6:17 p.m.
The cause and manner of death are pending examination, according to the Medical Examiner's office.
