The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a man, whose ability was impaired by drinking, was injured and his passenger killed in a rollover crash in Seminole County, Friday night.

It happened at 10:20 p.m. Friday, two miles north and five miles west of Cromwell, according to the collision report.

Troopers say a 2002 Ford Focus, driven by 21-year-old Juan Antonio Alvizo, was heading eastbound on County Road EW112, when Alvizo lost control of the vehicle, departed the roadway to the left, rolled multiple times and came to rest upside down.

OHP says Alvizo and one passenger, 22-year-old Chistian Gutierrez, were both ejected approximately 90 feet from the vehicle. Alvizo was transported to OU Medical Center in critical condition with massive injuries, and Gutierrez was pronounced dead at the scene by the Strother Fire Department, according to the collision report.

Troopers say Alvizo was drinking, and listed alcohol as the cause of the collision.

The collision report states neither man was wearing a seatbelt.
