The body of a 25-year-old man was recovered from the water at Lake Thunderbird on Sunday, officials say.

Authorities said he drowned after getting into trouble as he was swimming across the cove on the eastern side of the lake. His older brother, 27, swam out to save him, but he also began to have problems.

A group of people on shore, including an off-duty nurse, saved the older brother. He was transported to a local hospital.

The younger brother was dead when officials pulled him from the water.

The names of the men have not been released at this time.
