Man Dies In NW OKC Hotel Shooting

Police said a man died Friday morning after shots were fired outside a northwest Oklahoma City hotel.

It happened before 2 a.m. Friday at the Residence Inn, located at 4361 W. Reno Avenue.

According to Captain Nate Tarver with the Oklahoma City Police Department, an after party had spilled out into the parking lot and an altercation took place. Tarver said soon after, shots were fired and a black male in his early to mid-20s went down with a gunshot wound to the head.

Officials later confirmed the victim was transported to OU Medical Center, where he died.

Tarver said witnesses told police they saw a silver, late model boxy vehicle leave the scene.

Police have not released a description of the suspect.
