A scary scene unfolded at a New York City McDonald's. A man walked into the restaurant with a knife sticking out of his back. He appeared to be composed, just talking on his phone.
The picture alone is shocking. A man with a knife stuck in his back and blood pouring from the wound.
"I heard everybody screaming and it was a lot of commotion," Tromaine Yancey said.
Yancey was at a Jamaica, Queens McDonald's near Stuphin and 91st for an interview when the whole thing happened Tuesday morning.
Investigators say moments before a witness snapped the stunning picture, the man had gotten into some kind of fight down the street.
Once he was stabbed, the victim managed to stumble into the McDonald's where he eventually passed out.
"But he was on the phone and I'm pretty sure he was on the phone talking to somebody in his family or a loved one or something. He was talking to them, telling them it might be the last time they speak to him," Yancey said.
Shocked customers ditched their food and tried making sure he didn't fall onto the knife wound.
The man has been treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
