Three people were killed and one person was injured in a head-on collision Monday afternoon in Choctaw.

Three people were killed and one person was injured in a head-on collision Monday afternoon in Choctaw.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office, at 1:45 p.m., crews responded to the collision at N.E. 23rd and N. McDonald.

A pickup truck driven by 82-year-old Gene Pruett was going westbound on N.E. 23rd Street when it crossed the center line for an unknown reason, and struck a eastbound pickup truck head on, according to the Sheriff's office.

Pruett and his wife, 70-year-old Deloris Pruett, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, 40-year-old Chad Condrey was also killed in the collision.

A passenger in Condrey's truck, 20-year-old Tyler Condrey, has been transported to the OU Medical Center in critical condition.

The eastbound lanes of N.E. 23rd were shut down as crews worked to clear the scene of the crash.
