Canadian County Couple Accused Of Horrendous Child Abuse

A Canadian County Couple is accused one of the worst cases of child abuse and neglect the Sheriff Randall Edwards says he's ever seen. 

Canadian County got a phone tip to go to a stone farm house about four miles West of Lucky Star Casino. Deputies say they 28-year-old Edward Everett and his 32-year-old wife Krystal lived there with four children. 

Deputies found one of those four children, a 6-year-old boy, locked in a small room. Deputies say they found the boy in the fetal position, wearing only underwear. They say he had two black eyes, a large bruise on his forehead, and sores all over his body. 

The caller who tipped off investigators said the Everett's had been keeping the boy locked up, because they believed he was "demon possessed." The Everett's told investigators the child's injuries were self-inflicted. 

The child told investigators he was fed one bad meal a day, and was routinely beaten with a belt and a working cattle prod. Neighbor George Heupel was shocked by the news.

"Well I wouldn't treat my animals that way," he said Friday. 

By the way, there are four dogs on that property where the Everett's have been living. One of those dogs is a large dog. Animal Control probably needs to check on the welfare of those animals, because their owners are in jail.
