Gibson Bardsley scored the match's only goal in the 90th minute of play to lift Orange County Blues FC past OKC Energy FC 1-0 Saturday Night at Pribil Stadium. Energy FC falls to 2-5-0, while Orange County moves to 3-6-0.
Orange County's goal began on a goal kick by Blues FC keeper Josh Ford that sailed into the OKC half, where Bardsley corralled the ball and tipped it just over Energy FC net minder Jon Kempin.
The teams played to a scoreless first half with Orange County holding a 4-1 advantage in shots, but neither team managed to register a shot on goal.
Each team totaled 13 shots for the match, with Orange County holding a 3-2 lead in shots on goal, the final shot resulting in the deciding score.
Energy FC is back in action at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14th, when it takes on the Tulsa Athletics in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.
