Yahoo! Sports is reporting that Houston Rockets' guard Patrick Beverley as suffered a torn meniscus in his knee, and his playing status for the rest of the season is unknown.
Beverley, who became a household name in Oklahoma City after his post-whistle actions led to Russell Westbrook's torn meniscus in Game 2 of last season's Western Conference Quarterfinals, was Houston's starting point guard.
In Houston's recent trip to Oklahoma City, Beverley made it a point to go after Westbrook once again, mixing it up with the Thunder's All Star on multiple occasions, drawing loud boos from the Chesapeake Arena crowd.
"You saw the same thing I saw," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said about Beverley's actions. "There's really not much to talk about. We played a good basketball game, I'll just leave it at that."
Yahoo! goes on to report that Beverley will seek a second opinion on his knee before any decisions are made regarding his rehab.
The second-year guard is averaging 9.9 points per game.
