No. 6 Baylor defeated Oklahoma 96-89 Monday night at the Ferrell Center.
Baylor (25-3, 15-1 Big 12) led Oklahoma (17-12, 8-8) by 32 points with 15 minutes remaining in the game before the Sooners' offense surged.
Led by 29 points from Aaryn Ellenberg, Oklahoma stormed within single digits by the 6-minute mark, and had the game within 6 points with 1:15 to play. Baylor held off Oklahoma at the free throw line.
Baylor (25-3, 15-1 Big 12) had a 14-point lead before Oklahoma (17-12, 8-8) made its second field goal six minutes into the game.
It was the Lady Bears' eighth straight win over the Sooners.
Odyssey Sims scored 38 points and Nina Davis has 28 for the Lady Bears.
Ellenberg, OU's leading scorer, returned to the Sooners' lineup after missing two games with concussion symptoms. The Sooners had won their last two games, versus Texas and Kansas, with her on the sidelines.
Baylor led 53-31 at halftime. Sims and Davis combined for 38 first-half points.
Oklahoma visits TCU Saturday, March 1, before hosting its regular season finale against Texas Tech March 3.
