Second Tecumseh Murder Suspect Arrested At OKC Motel

The second suspect in a deadly weekend shooting in Tecumseh has been taken into custody at an Oklahoma City motel. 

News 9 Crime Tracker Adrianna Iwasinski confirmed the arrest just before midnight.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff says Shane Pitts was taken into custody Tuesday night at the Lincoln Inn Express Motel near N.W. 50th and Lincoln Boulevard in Oklahoma City. 

The Sheriff says his office received a tip that Pitts was in the metro area.

Members of the Pottawatomie County District Attorney Task Force and the U.S. Marshals staked out the hotel room before going inside for the arrest.  

The Sheriff tells News 9 Pitts was unarmed and with another man in the room.

Following his arrest, Pitts was taken to the Pottawatomie County Detention Center where he remains Wednesday morning. 

Pitts' alleged accomplice, Justin Moore, surrendered himself to authorities Monday night in the town of Asher. Moore is being held in the Pottawatomie County jail with no bond on a conspiring to commit murder complaint.
