The murder of Jaymie Adams and her unborn baby are making headlines once again after her husband, Justin Adams, signed a plea agreement with the state.

He pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges for his role in their deaths. The couple was allegedly involved in an online prostitution that ultimately led to her murder. Prosecutors alleged he got her killed by posting ads for sex with his wife on Craigslist.

Justin Adams walked away a free man but he is expected to testify against his pregnant wife's accused killer, Joseph Cyr.

Cyr has been locked up for 10 months waiting to hear the state's evidence against him for the murder of Adams and her unborn baby. Cyr was arrested the same day prosecutors reduced the criminal charges against her husband, Justin Adams. Adams was the initial suspect in the case until new evidence surfaced in April 2013.

The unexpected twist in the case happened more than two years after Adams body was found stabbed to death in a wooded area of Lake Stanley Draper in Jan. 2012. Investigators looked at Cyr, early on, as a possible suspect but claimed he refused to cooperate.

During his initial police interview, Cyr admitted he contacted Adams in response to a Craigslist ad for sex, but he denied ever meeting her or killing her. Cyr also refused to provide his DNA and moved out of the Oklahoma City area shortly after the killing.

Eventually, investigators tracked him down in the Tulsa area, and with a court order, they collected Cyr's DNA.  Investigators said his DNA matched samples taken from Jaymie Adams' body.

According to the District Attorney, Justin Adams will be a witness in Cyr's murder trial. Adams will testify to the timeline of events the night of his wife's disappearance. He will also divulge conversations he had with Cyr that night.

Cyr's preliminary hearing is set for March 5. His defense attorney did not return our calls in time for this report.
