Two small earthquakes rattled residents in Central Oklahoma on Christmas Day.
A 2.7 magnitude quake rattled the area at 4:30 a.m. on Christmas Day. It was centered about five miles north of Spencer, and 11 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.
Just before 3 p.m., another 2.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Purcell. Its epicenter was located four miles south, southwest of Purcell, and 36 miles south of Oklahoma City.
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
Just the day before on Christmas Eve, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded northeast of Edmond around 9 p.m.
