Christmas Eve Earthquake Rocks Central Oklahoma

An earthquake rattled residents in central Oklahoma on Christmas Eve.

According to the Oklahoma Geological Survey, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The U.S Geological Survey says the earthquake was 3.7 in magnitude.

Its epicenter was located six miles east, northeast of Edmond, 13 miles north, northwest of Choctaw, 14 miles south, southeast of Guthrie, 14 miles north of Midwest City, and 16 miles north, northeast of Oklahoma City.

It was about three miles deep.

Many residents in the Edmond area reported feeling this earthquake. No damage or injuries were immediately reported.
