Oklahoma City Police have identified a woman who was found dead Saturday afternoon at an apartment complex in northwest Oklahoma City.
On November 23, officers were asked to conduct a welfare check at Quail Creek Apartments in the 11000 block of Springhollow Road. When police entered the residence around 4:30 p.m., they found 49-year-old Larita Wood's body. She'd been shot to death.

During their investigation, police identified Wood's husband, James, as a suspect. Tuttle Police took the 47-year-old man into custody Saturday and transported him to the Oklahoma County jail. He was booked on a first-degree murder complaint.
Police have not said what led to the shooting. The case is still under investigation.
