The number one theme of the day has been safety. City crews have been working around the clock to make sure streets are passable.
The Oklahoma City Salt Barn has been a busy place Sunday. Street crews have been out in full force. There are about 30 trucks working 18 different snow routes in the OKC area. They have 7,100 tons of salt to work with.
There are a few things you can do to help them out. They say keep a safe distance. They're out there to keep you safe and they want you to help keep them safe too.
"We try to keep people running safe, but it's a cooperative effort for everyone to be safe. You gotta slow down. You gotta take caution," said operations supervisor, Tim Ishmael.
"Give them trucks room to work. Stay back 100-200 feet. Don't cut them off. Don't pass them, because they're working. Those trucks don't stop on a dime either. They're busy and they're focusing on what they're doing. They're not looking out for 100 cars cutting them off all at once."
