Red Cross Donates Equipment To Tornado-Damaged School In Moore

The American Red Cross will be visiting with Highland East Junior High School Tuesday to present new sound equipment to the school.

The school was damaged in the May 20 tornado that ripped through Moore. Working with the school and Moore Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Robert Romines, the Red Cross identified this as a need with the school. The organization also replaced popcorn and snow cone machines at Briarwood and Plaza Towers elementary schools.

This is the latest project the Red Cross has participated in with the Moore Public Schools. Shortly before the start of the school year, the Red Cross presented teachers, support staff and administrators with gift cards to help replace personal classroom items lost as a result of the tornado. This was also done for El Reno and Mid-Del schools.
