Oklahoma City police are asking for the public's help in solving a deadly shooting from July. And so is the victim's mother.
Davion Thompson, 17, was shot and killed outside a home in the 10600 block of Military Ave on the night of July 23. Police have interviewed dozens of people, but so far no one's story is sticking. Now his mother is hoping her plea for justice encourages someone to come forward with the truth.
"He would have been a senior this year," said Anita Thompson. "This would have been his last year!"
Anita Thompson had big dreams for her 17-year-old son; dreams that were shattered the night of July 23.
"He wanted to go to the army, like my nephew," said Thompson, with tears in her eyes.
Pictures of Davion surround his mother's home. She says he was a student at Seeworth Academy and had plans to go to college. But he was living out on his own over the summer. Thompson says there were even plans for Davion to move back home,

"It just didn't happen fast enough," said Thompson.
Friends say Davion was shot while walking down Military Ave., just feet away from the house where he was staying with several friends. And just blocks away from where his grandparents live.
"It was like almost a riot over there," recalled Thompson. "They wouldn't let police get to his body. They was stopping the paramedics from getting in doing their job. His grandmother said all they seen was somebody carrying him out on a stretcher, giving him chest compressions. And when we got to the hospital, they told us he was dead."
On Wednesday there is a makeshift memorial paying tribute to Davion's life outside the house where he was shot. There are pictures and ribbons and flowers and notes, but what his mother wants most are answers.

"Because somebody out there knows, somebody in that house over there, a lot of people know because they was there," said Thompson. "Anybody, if you know anything, just come forward. Talk. Say something."
Police say Davion was seen approaching a white Dodge Charger with tinted windows and black rims near the intersection where he was shot. Right now that's all police have to go on.
Police are urging anyone with information about this deadly shooting to call their Homicide Tip Line at (405) 297-1200.
