Fire Damages Home In SW OKC

A fire early Monday morning damaged a house on S.W. 40th Street near Portland Avenue.

The fire started in a back bedroom just before 4 a.m. Flames quickly swept through the home. Firefighters arrived within minutes and put out the flames. The house sustained fire, smoke and water damage.

The woman who lives in the home was not there when the fire started. No one was hurt.

Investigators are trying to determine how the fire began.
