Oklahoma City Police hope surveillance video helps them catch who shot and killed a long-time convenience store clerk late Tuesday night.

Police say a customer found 62-year-old Habib Hajimirzael dead behind the counter of Four Seasons Gas and Food, at N.W. 63rd Street and Santa Fe Avenue.

The victim was well known around the neighborhood and had been working as a clerk at Four Seasons more than 17 years.

Tony Harrison is a long-time customer who drove with his wife Carol to the convenience store Wednesday to pay their respects.

"He would pat you on the back when you did well, but he did not take no mess," he said.

Layisha Higgenbotham says the clerk, known as "Habib," gave her children free slushies.

"This is insane!  It's like, wow, that's what it is," she said. "What's this world coming to?"
