One firefighter suffered a minor injury while battling a blaze at a home in northwest Oklahoma City, just west of Lake Hefner, Thursday evening.
Oklahoma City Fire Crews were called to the scene of a home, located at 6205 Latham Ct., at around 7 p.m.
Crews on the scene say the fire was so heavy in the attic of the home that crews had to back out and take a defensive position. While working the home, one fire crew member suffered some kind of minor back injury.
Firefighters say damage to the home is so severe that it is considered a total loss. The Oklahoma City fire chief thinks hoarding may have contributed to the intensity of the blaze.
It is unclear if anyone was at home when the fire started. No other injuries have been reported.
