A man says vandals are terrorizing him inside his southwest Oklahoma City home.
He now he fears for his life. The 19-year-old shared his story with News 9. Imagine waking to the sound of a brick crashing through your bedroom window.
That's what happened to19-year-old David Ly, who just graduated from Southmoore High School. He says he was harassed in school, but the pranks at his home have gone too far.
"When I heard that loud crash I thought to myself, ‘please tell me this is just a dream,'" Ly said.
Around 3:00 Saturday morning, a brick came crashing through David Ly's front bedroom window. He was asleep and the brick landed right by his legs.
"Every time they vandalize my house, before this I thought it was just routine. This time, they're going for me or something," Ly said.
Whoever it was also threw paint inside. His cable box and other valuables are ruined. They even urinated around his front door. Ly says this is the second time vandals have hit his home in the past few months.
"When it happened the first time, I jumped out of bed thinking someone was shooting my window," Ly said.
That was a couple months ago. No one was shooting. It was actually a large rock thrown through his window, and it barely missed his head.
"I thought I was going to die," Ly says. "My head was by the window when it happened. This time I thought my legs were going to get broken."
Fortunately, he's never gotten hurt. He thinks people from his high school or in his neighborhood are targeting him. As it escalates, the more fearful he becomes.
"They have something against me, or they just don't like me, period. So they just keep going against me until I'm gone," Ly said.
David has filed police reports but so far, no one has been caught. If you have any information on the vandalism, call Crimestoppers at 235-7300.
