New Information is coming out in regards to the brutal murder of a Duncan teenager.
The father of 14-year-old Alyssa Wiles found her stabbed to death in their Duncan home. Alyssa's ex- boyfriend Michael Ray confessed to the killing. In his confession, Ray told Duncan Police he first thought Alyssa Wiles was "too beautiful to hurt" and that he just wanted her to be quiet.
Now, the 16-year-old suspect will be tried as an adult on a charge of first-degree murder.
The 14 year old died on June 10, when prosecutors say Michael Ray stabbed her several times with a butcher knife. Stephens County Assistant District Attorney Leah Edwards called it a heinous crime.
"One would think your children would be safe in their own home, which makes this crime even more troubling," said Edwards.

Prosecutors allege Ray planned the attack and even had another teenager act as a lookout. Ray eventually confessed to Duncan Police saying he "held her ‘til she died" then burned the clothes he was wearing.
Ray also admitted he hid the murder weapon near the cemetery where Alyssa Wiles will now be buried.
"It's just a waste of a young life for someone so young to die in such a tragic way," Robert Yates of Duncan said.
Yates is one of several community members hanging green ribbons around town to show their support for Alyssa Wiles' family. Most admit the murder shocked the community.
Ray has been formally charged with murder and is being held without bond. At this point, investigators are still looking at his alleged accomplice, but he is a juvenile so very little information is being released at this point.
A candlelight vigil is set for Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at the Duncan High School baseball fields.
