A murder investigation leads to an arrest in Lincoln County.

Chandler Police discovered the body, identified as 41-year-old Sam Amon Brock of Odessa, Texas, at the Lincoln Motel in Chandler on Friday morning.

"I've been here 13 years and we have not had a murder here in at least 13 years," Chandler Police Chief Matt Mattheyer explained after finding a 41-year-old man dead from apparent head trauma and stab wounds.

"I walked in and found him in a pool of blood," Mattheyer said.

Both the Brock and the suspect, Dominique Gill, were guests at the hotel. Investigators say Gill fled the scene in the victim's truck. He later crashed the truck near Sapulpa early Friday Morning.

Investigators spent the rest of the day collecting evidence in two motel rooms at Lincoln Motel. Several guests gave statements to police it many said they did not witness the killing.

"I couldn't hear a thing, I didn't see a thing," said James Mattingly.

Mattingly described the motel as ‘nice' and as being a ‘typical, community-friendly' place to stay.

Chandler Police transported Gill, an Oklahoma City resident, to the Lincoln County Jail on Friday evening.

A second suspect in his early 20s, Kevin Jimmy Hallmark, was also arrested Friday evening in connection to the murder.
