Friday's Storms Kill 18; Names Of Some Victims Released

The State Medical Examiner's Office has released the names of 11 of the 18 people killed by tornados and flooding across the Oklahoma City metro on Friday, May 31.

The State Medical Examiner's Office has released the names of 11 of the 18 people killed by tornados and flooding across the Oklahoma City metro on Friday, May 31.

Six of the victims are children.

Three of the victims have already been identified. Carl Young, 45, Timothy Samaras, 55, and his son Paul Samaras, 24, were veteran storm chasers killed while chasing a tornado in El Reno.

Richard Henderson, 35, was also killed in El Reno. The medical examiner has also confirmed the identities of 67-year-old William O'Neal and 32-year-old Dustin Bridges, who both died in Union City. Maria Martin, 26, and Cory Johnson, 3, died in Oklahoma City.

Other victims include James Talbert, 65, Brandie Kay Perry, 40, and Dorenia Hamilton, 79.

The names of seven additional victims have not been released. The medical examiner's office says those names will be released when the victims' families have been notified.
