Verizon Wireless is helping thousands of people left without power in the wake of Monday's massive storm.

The tornado roared through Moore Monday afternoon, flattening houses, schools and businesses, as well as knocking out power to thousands of homes.

To help those without power, Verizon Wireless will set up mobile command and support centers in Moore Tuesday at noon.

The mobile command center for public safety officials will be set up at Rock Assembly of God Church, 12500 Penn Avenue in Moore. It will provide emergency phones, charging stations, internet access, water and tablets to public safety officials.

The mobile support unit for Moore citizens will be set up at Best Buy, 2700 S. Service Road in Moore. It will have charging stations, emergency phones, internet access and bottled water.
