Enid Police Arrest Man For Injuring One-Year-Old Child

Enid police officers arrested a man on Friday who is accused of injuring his girlfriend's one-year-old child.

Enid police officers arrested a man on Friday who is accused of injuring his girlfriend's one-year-old child.

According to police, the mother brought the toddler to the St. Mary's Emergency Room early Friday morning. The child was suffering from numerous visible injuries.

Officers went to the mother's home in the 500 block of E. Oak, and spoke with her boyfriend, Brandon Chattam. Investigators determined that Chattam was the one who injured the child. He has been charged with injury to a minor child as a result of the investigation.

Chattam was also arrested for possession of marijuana, according to police.

Police have notified the Department of Human Services of the incident. The child was treated and has been released from the emergency room.

Chattam is being held at the Garfield County Detention Facility with bond.
