Mourners Remember Edmond Firefighter At Friday Funeral

Police will close an Edmond road Friday morning as mourners gather to remember an Edmond firefighter who died after a long battle with cancer.

Captain John Werhun, 42, died Saturday from colon cancer. His funeral is set for Friday at 10 a.m. at First Christian Church of Edmond.

Boulevard at 2nd Street will be closed for the funeral. Drivers are asked to use Kelly and Bryant to drive north and south through Edmond.
