Two employees of a high school in Moore have been suspended after parents say the employees threw a party for cheerleaders that included drugs and alcohol.

The Oklahoma City Police Department is now investigating after parents of a cheerleader who attended the party contacted police last week.

The two employees work at Westmoore High school. According to the police report, the school employee held a party for cheerleaders at her home on April 6. One of the girls would later tell her parents she was forced to drink alcohol.

"According to the report which was made by one of the children's parents, one of the involved employees had several of these people over, it was a sleep-over type situation at the house. There was drinking going on, this employee actually provided the alcohol and encouraged the drinking," said Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

According to the police report, the employee opened a bottle of Smirnoff and had all the girls take a drink and pass it on. At one point, a boy arrived at the party and some of the girls left the house to go "smoke weed."

The other school employee brought more alcohol to the party, and both adults left the group unattended for about an hour.

Administrators with the school district say they allegations were brought to their attention early last week.

"An internal investigation began and as a result of the investigation, two Moore Public Schools' employees have been suspended from their duties."

The district says it is cooperating with law enforcement. Police will continue their investigation, determine if the allegations are true and who was involved, and if charges should be filed.
